Overclock Computer (Ram issue)

I have a Gigabyte G1 Guerilla Motherboard with the latest available drivers i7 960 with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooling System (running idle at 50c but I think I need better thermal paste) Corsair 16GB (2x 8GB) PC2400 CL11 Vengeance Pro VenPk DDR3 DIMM RAM Memory Module My motherboard supports a max ram speed of 2200 MHz but it should hit the 2400 base clock of the ram with an overclock. My issue is that when I'm trying to get the Ram above 1600mhz, with XMP or manually, it black screens until I clear the cmos. I've successfully overclocked the CPU from 3.4 to 3.8ghz but I just cant get the ram to work. I'm aiming for a 4.3ghz CPU clock with 2400mhz ram clock. However, I really only need help resolving the ram issue.
