Make an image into a personalized New Year postcard

I need some image manipulation done. The source image is attached. What I want to see as the output is a New Year postcard. Not the "real" postcard sent by snail mail, rather just an image to be posted via Facebook. The person we are going to send it to is our Aikido sensei. He is Japanese. We are Russian. Desired features: * Some background indicative of the holiday atmosphere. * "Happy New Year" caption. * Additional large coins falling from above, with either images or captions on them representing our warm wishes to the person: - health - happiness - money: e.g. a dollar sign (or maybe a yen sign; I think the dollar may be more appropriate, since he is an international teacher, and we are non-Japanese students) - fish! (or the process of fishing which is his favorite hobby) - good students (?) or something indicative of their or his own growth in the art of Aikido - good relationship with friends and family. Perhaps a beer image will do; he likes partying and drinking with friends (but we don't want to over-emphasize this). Maybe drawing everything at once will make the image look cluttered. Use your best judgement. Be free to express your ideas if you are feeling so inclined but please try to be quick. We have about 2 days. The New Year is near! I except a couple of iterations with feedback until we reach the final design. (I am new to this site and the process of doing freelance jobs, but I think this is a reasonable thing to expect.)
