Build a Website & Design the Data base

I am planning to built a elearning website where student can buy subscription and learn online The data base consists of diff sections eg : Maths/ General Knowledge/ English/ Science. I am interested to know how I can create database of questions for different sections. I have soft copy and hard copy of books from which I want to select questions: 1) I want to know which is the best way to design the database. 2) I also want to know how to copy questions from hard copy to website data base. 3) I also want to know how easy to use soft copy of books to copy questions.
