Currently I’m the director of operations for a growing local company. It’s a small business so I’m head of HR as well.

Management development training is key in succession planning with the organization. It is critical in the grooming of the next level managers / leaders and hence needs to be taken seriously. In my training experience that spans over 10 years, I have been able to undertake a number of customized management development training programs which are based on the fundamentals of management. The basic concepts remain the same however, customization is needed to address each specific customer needs. My proposal is to have a good understanding of the motivation behind the need for management training [needs assessment]; based on this, a curriculum with clear goals can be set and expounded to give a tailored management development training program. I also have an appreciation of adult learning methodologies that need to be brought into the preparation to ensure that most of the content is retained based on the approach used. I do look forward to further engagement to have better appreciation of the assignment and give a more detailed approach to it. Anne
