Marketing help wanted: small software company serving non-profits and professional associations with CRM systems

I am looking for a marketing professional to help me gain more inquiries (leading to more high-quality contracts) for my small custom software company ("CompanyX"). I'm currently a one-man operation, intending to expand as needed to accommodate an expanding customer base. About CompanyX: CompanyX provides services for users and prospective users of CiviCRM ([login to view URL]): custom feature development; bug fixes; reporting; data migrations; strategic consultation. Most users of CiviCRM are non-profit organizations and professional associations, with the occasional small business, church/synagogue, etc. Marketing aim: If I can get more and better inquiries, I can build my business further by increasing billable work volume; by increasing volume (and efficiency) of hosting; and by improving portfolio through having more notable projects to choose from. "Better inquiries" means inquiries for projects that are notable as portfolio items or case studies, and which are expected to provide a high monetary ROI for the client. Getting more and better inquiries depends on an active web presence and a 5-star reputation. Currently CompanyX's web presence is limited to a 2-page website, a Partners listing on [login to view URL]; and a few CiviCRM extensions in the online extensions directory on civicrm.org. New inquiries are coming in mainly through the partners listing, through referrals from other shops, and occasionally through CiviCRM extensions. I believe it will also help to increase the volume of content describing CompanyX's work, such as on the company website (blog posts, portfolio, testimonials), and on outside platforms (tweets; blog posts on [login to view URL]; CiviCRM extensions listed in the CiviCRM extensions directory; CiviCRM extensions available for automated installation by virtue of having passed review). It will also help to deliver notable presentations at events catering to CiviCRM users, non-profit organizations, and professional associations. Other specific actions may be worth doing, with the aim to increase traffic volume to the company website, increase the percentage of site visitors who inquire about work, and increase the percentage of inquiries that convert to actual projects. Help needed: I am looking for a marketing professional to help me achieve any and all of the above. This would include tasks such as writing blog content both on the company website and on [login to view URL]; writing, posting, and scheduling Tweets; consulting on overall strategy for marketing and company image; writing (or at least editing) entries for the CiviCRM extensions directory for CompanyX's existing CiviCRM extensions; writing up portfolio items or case studies from past work; compiling and editing customer testimonials for use on the company website; and various similar tasks. The ideal candidate for this work has a solid portfolio of marketing experience; has excellent written English and is a highly effective writer; is a team player with attention to detail and excellent communication habits; thinks strategically and proposes action that will get results. Familiarity with the administrative work of non-profit organizations and/or professional associations is a bonus.
