In this Front-end Developer role, you will: Write clear, performant JavaScript (pure ES6+ we don’t rely on JQuery) Write clean SASS/SCSS Work with the Design and UX teams to bring wireframes to life in the browser Learn constantly to stay on top of the latest front-end technologies and practices Ensure coding standards and performance budgets are observed throughout the life of a project Help to gather requirements, write functional specifications, and determine optimal implementations. Required Experience and Skills: Experience building front-end user interfaces JavaScript (pure ES6+ we don’t rely on JQuery) SASS/SCSS/CSS (knowledge of BEM a plus) Understanding of web accessibility Understanding of web performance Git Node.js build tools such as Webpack Additional desired skills and experience: Model/View framework experience. Vue.js is our framework of choice, but experience with another framework (such as React) would show ability to adopt Vue without great difficulty Understanding of UX principles Experience working in an agency environment We’re looking for a true craftsperson who: Learns for fun Has opinions about CSS units of measurement and JavaScript syntax Writes clear, concise code Advocates for the user Takes ownership of projects Provides accurate time estimates on work Is a very positive team member
