Java Architect / Mulesoft expert - Advise on Performance Issue

Delivery expected by 30th May Looking for a Java Architect with experience on Mulesoft to resolve a performance problem faced with one of our existing products. The product in scope has three modules - Web, ESB and Broker. Communication between ESB and Broker is through Mule using Stub (Apache Axis). This product is deployed on Apache Tomcat installed on a Linux RHEL server. Recently when the number of users of the solution increased, Tomcat service stopped responding. Analyzing the logs revealed the infamous exception “Too Many Open Files” in Tomcat logs. There were about 20 million open files count (verified with lsof | wc -l) at that moment on Linux server. Majority of the files were identified as mule log files and Tomcat jar files. Reported problem was resolved after increasing the number of files that can be opened using ulimit configuration. But it was noticed that the number of open files in the server keeps on increasing every day. It is suspected that increasing the open files limit in ulimit has only delayed the problem, but the problem will recur after a longer period. We expect the Java Architect / Mulesoft expert to quickly understand the architecture of the product, analyze the performance problem faced and advise a permanent resolution to it.
