We are looking for a Java developer preferably with specific experience in configuring -- Apache Ofbiz -- application from [login to view URL] Please do not reply if you are not a Java developer. This is required. These are the two things we want done: Job 1) SSH Into our development server and install / configure Apache Ofbiz 12.04.02 from here: [login to view URL] * Do not load any demo data when asked by script during this installation Job 2) Configure ofBiz so it uses our MySQL database and NOT the built in Derby database Job 3) MUST document in a text file exactly what steps were taken to install the product and most importantly, to configure for MySQL. We will be duplicating your efforts on another server to test your steps as we have an internal developer who needs to replicate this. This is also important in case something breaks and needs to be rebuilt. * Ideally you will also have experience with eclipse but this is secondary not primary. Sincerely, Jay CompuMatter

Hey there. I am an experienced java developer / linux admin. I have also developed in eclipse for 2-3 years before switching to IntelliJ IDEA. I am not familiar in particular with Apache Ofbiz, but I have checked the documentation and it's familiar in installation procedures to other software that I have installed, so I feel confident there won't be any issues. Job 1 and 2 should take at most 1-2 days, I bid for 3 days because documentation is usually the most time consuming. I can do the first part, you can release the first milestone, then I'll send you the documentation and you can release the final milestone if everything is in order. Let me know what linux distribution you are running. Thanks.
