Hello, over 7 years of experience as sysadmin. One question before starting: will you always use the same Distro for the servers you run the shell script on? If you need to use this in different distros then it will take way more to set conditions based on the operating system (different commands, different sources, etc).

note: 2 years of experience in Linux. query: do you need this requirement for debian or redhat Linux?
