Hello! You've laid out a barebones set of requirements here, and I'm worried about your compliance needs. As part of this bid, I'll lay out what I plan to do, my assumptions, and open questions for your review. Assumptions: - You are not going to be storing customer Personal Health Information (PHI) in your database - This is not a mission critical system to your business -- I assume this because you've only asked for a single of each type of server - You have cPanel licenses (it's no longer a free product) - You don't have any Linux experience - You need medium horsepower servers Questions: - Can you describe the intended use case of this system? -- I ask this for your own protection. If there are ways to optimize your costs or do things differently, I want to be able to tell you. - How many users to do you expect to use this system at any one given time? - Where are the primary users of this system going to be located? Initial Design: I would create CloudFormation templates for you that would make it easier to keep track of interrelated parts of a given system. I would also deploy them for you, assuming you gave me access to the AWS account for a limited period of time. The templates would consist of the configuration you've asked for: - 1x Windows Server 2013/2016 EC2 instance -- PHP5 -- cPanel - 1x CentOS 6 EC2 instance (I would recommend against this approach and use RDS instead) -- MySQL installed & basically configured for access
