Need a better script than what we are running at [login to view URL] In checking I have found several commercially available options, however, not sure how well they work. This will be a challenge response system.
When a new message is sent to a user, [login to view URL] will determine if the sender is authorized to send the email to the recipient. If the sender is authorized, the email is immediately sent to the person's inbox. If the sender is blocked, the email is deleted and their inbox is kept spam free. I would like to have blocked mail bounced back to the sender if possible.
If this is the first email from the sender, the email is held in a temporarily holding area on our website and the sender is sent an email with a verification link that he/she must click. The sender only needs to click the verification link once, and their email, and all future emails that they send will immediately be placed in the person's inbox. We can't store spam so please do not keep it on the server more than seven days. I don't want to store peoples mail longer than necessary.
If, for some reason, the spammer does click on the verification link the user can simply block them in your member's area and will never receive email from that address again.
Contact me for login information to [login to view URL] It doesn't look like the site is currently allowing new signups or maybe it is just very slow at sending the new user information. Not sure why but I can give you an account for test purposes so you can see the features that should work.
In addition to a challenge response system I would like users to have the option to signup for form-based mail. This would create a unique form page that would forward mail to their email address. This will be a sub domain off of the main domain such as [login to view URL] The user could then give this page for anyone to send them mail. Visitors to the site should be able to go to the site and input the persons pin or extension number or screen name to send mail from the form. In other words I tell someone just go to [login to view URL] and enter 123 to send me mail or go to [login to view URL] to send me mail.
