Project Design Plan

NOTE: Bid deadline has been extended 1 day due to my falling behind on responses. I have also extended the due date by 5 days. This is a request for the development of a detailed project design plan, including table structures, flow diagrams, object models, screen mock-ups, etc. The deliverable must include all of the information necessary to direct the development of the actual product. THIS BID REQUEST ONLY ADDRESSES THE DESIGN DOCUMENTS, NOT THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ACTUAL PRODUCT! The product to be developed in the next phase is a completely web-based competitor to iMIS from Advanced Solutions International ([login to view URL]). iMIS is primarily a membership management system for non-profit associations . Non-profit associations generate revenue from membership dues, conferences, training courses, magazines, etc.. A good example of this type of association is the American Medical Association (doctors are members - they receive magazines, attend conferences, continuing education courses, association lobbies the government on their behalf, etc.). More specifics about the required functionality are provided in the deliverables section. We also strongly recommend looking at the Advanced Solutions web site, taking their on-line demo, etc. Three things should be noted: 1. We are likely to select 2 or even 3 winners to develop independent plans. All will be paid for the plans they develop. 2. Substantial preference on the actual project will be given to any winners of this phase that create exceptional development plans. 3. We will attempt to provide the data structures and screen snapshots of several products from this field - maybe even some downloadable demo versions (non-sql, obviously). ## Deliverables 1) A well-written, concise and complete Scope of Work document. 2) A well-written, concise and complete Business Requirements document. Must include including table structures, flow diagrams, screen mock-ups and all other documentation required by programmers to proceed with development of the actual project. 3) Project MUST be designed to support both LAN and WAN access - including appropriate security controls. 4) Project design must support access via a standard web browser rather than installed client software. The following iMIS 'modules' must be reproduced in the initial project: 1. Customer Relationship Management The core of the iMIS solution, Customer Relationship Management allows an organization to offer a superior level of customer service and build customers for life. Tracking of 'customer' status (active, inactive, potential) and history is crucial. 2. Member Management iMIS solutions allow you to manage your membership and member services better than ever before. 3. Events Management iMIS Event Management capabilities manage all of the details that go into managing even the most complex events. This includes tracking required resources, speakers, times, attendees, etc. 4. Dues Billing and Financials The iMIS financial management modules provide your organization with advanced financials linked to member records and integrated with your general ledger accounting system. THIS IS NOT AN ACCOUNTING SYSTEM! It does, however, record AR/AP related to member and non-member interactions (invoice, fax, phone, web, etc.) and generates batches that tie to the actual accounting system. The system also supports credit cards. 5. Member Web Portal and eBusiness iMIS web portal tools provide your website with essential tools for building a personalized, effective web presence for your customer and partner community; everything from eCommerce to Content Management. The member web interface must support on-line ordering, on-line test taking, address change, on-line membership renewal, signing up for seminars and meetings, SIG (Special Interest Group) bulletin boards and instant messaging - all with appropriate security. 6. Marketing and Communications iMIS Marketing and Communications provides for the tools for managing multiple stage marketing campaigns and general communications with your customers, partners, and prospects. 7. Professional Education Management Streamline the process of defining and managing professional education requirements and personal progress with iMIS training tools. Continuing Education and the ability to track user 'credits' (just like in school) and credentials is crucial to a successful system 8. Publications Management Manage your publications from subscriptions billing and fulfillment to complete advertising management. 9. Fund Raising Management Take control of Fund Raising activities at your organization, increasing contributions and building lasting donor relationships. Must help track potential donors, promised donations, employer matching programs and contact history with donors. ## Platform Platform MUST be Microsoft 2000 Server (or higher) and Microsoft SQL 2000 (or higher). Programming MUST be in ASP/ASP.NET and VB/VB.NET. PHP and MySQL are NOT acceptable for this project! NOTE: As stated previously, this bid request is only for the design documents! The above requirements are an indication of the platform that the documents need to specify.
