I need 5 well researched articles on the general subject of Search Engine Optimisation. I have provided a general list of headings and topics to cover. I am particularly interested in Google, so a large part of the focus should be on google as opposed to other search engines. Subject Matter 1) Keywords What exactly are keywords? Do they work or are they a waste of money? 5) Bad Practice Google Bombing, Spamdexing, Link farms What else is likely to get your ranking reduced? Writing Style Relaxed Conversational Style. Not too technical. The audience will primarily be non technical / business oriented. Include where possible examples of good practice (with urls) to illustrate your points. Include specific facts, and sources. eg rather than saying “Google is a very popular search engine??, instead say something like “In 2003 Google was ranked the #1 by ….. and handled xxx searches by nnn people per day (source [login to view URL])?? Writing sample- to help selecting a bidder, please show samples of articles / work you have done. If you are the webmaster / designer / owner of a major website (Google rank 6 or above) this will also help. ## Deliverables Payment - I am willing to pay up to $5 per article, plus a $1 bonus for writing style and or a $1 bonus per article for high quality information (for total of $2 bonus per article). The bonus is entirely at my discretion for quality of work. Article Requirements * Article length: 500-1,000 words per article * Average paragraph length: 4-6 short or medium-length sentences Format * Articles need to be submitted as individual Word .DOC files or Notepad .TXT files without formatting, just line breaks between paragraphs. A zipped file containing all the files is also acceptable. No HTML coding or formatting please. Deadline - Articles should be completed within 7 days of bid acceptance.. (Keep in mind this I am also looking for a long term content writer(s) and if you work is acceptable I will hiring you for more articles in the weeks ahead. If you cannot meet this deadline but wish to bid, you may submit a bid with an alternate deadline (example 10 days instead of 7 days). Original content The content should be original and reflect current knowledge. Copy-and-paste from other articles or websites is not acceptable. The basic guideline used in university papers should be followed; Referring to other sources to learn enough to write the article is fine, but all content must be WRITTEN IN YOUR OWN WORDS. If several sources say the same thing then it is probably "common knowledge." (example: "There are 50 states in the United States" and "Microsoft Windows is the most common computer operating system in use today" are both common knowledge.). If only one or two sources are saying something, then that source should be given clear credit for the information. ( It is not likely that such unique information would be included in the article.) List of sources required - The author should submit with the article a list of ALL websites and any other sources consulted while doing the writing the article (even for things that are just common knowledge.) In some cases we may suggest a few sources to the author. See the section above on "original content" for more information.. Exclusive rights - Under no circumstance are the articles written for us allowed to be re-sold, re-distributed or re-used in any way. By accepting payment you transfer to us complete ownership of all the documents with complete copyrights to use and publish all work purchased. (If you later want to submit them as a writing sample in bidding for other work please contact us. We are reasonable about such matters.) Confidentiality - Due to confidentiality reasons, the successful bidder is not allowed to communicate this assignment (including the articles delivered and amounts paid) to unrelated parties without our written consent. No byline - The author/bidder is a ghost-writer and will not be given a byline or other credit. If in the future, we decide to grant the author/bidder a byline for this work, on our website or elsewhere, the decision to do this and for how long will be strictly at our discretion. If we grant any byline or credit, we would users the authors real name (no nicknames or aliases) and all the copyrights and ownership will remain entirely with us. Copyright - All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete world copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform n/a
