Overview This should be a simple port of the OCR engine available on the Planet Source Code website to C#. The code is linked here [login to view URL] I have included several example images in the Example [login to view URL], these should be used to test the OCR. Enhancements - This code should be a C# DLL. - The ported code should have 2 public methods. - Method 1 public string getOCRText(Bitmap oImage, ref double pvdMatchPercent) This method will take in a Bitmap and crop it to its outer edges. It will then apply it to the OCR engine like in the example and return the string it matches to along with a referenced value of percentage of match. - Method 2 public void Train(Bitmap oImage, string pvsText) This method will take in a Bitmap and crop it to its outer edges and convert it to the Template image like it does in the example. It will then insert the bits into the database like the example code does. - Grid Expansion I would also like to be able to change the Template size used to recognize the text. Right now it is using a 10 X 10 grid for it’s recognition. I would like to be able to set this grid to any size. This should be fairly straight forward variable change on the looping structure. - Test Harness The test harness should look similar to what is used in the example code, except I should be able to open the images in the folder "Example Images" and apply hem to the OCR engine.
