5148 Finish My Book Store

Hello, We needed to convert our current web to and new ecommerce solution. I hired an individual from here to develop a new site for us using OsCommerce. I was told that it would take 20 days to complete, unfortunately the job dragged on for 6 months and was never completed. This is an online bookstore with a unique twist we deal in mostly 95% antique out of print books. Our current on-hand inventory is about 100,000 books with only about 7000 listed in our database. Almost all of these books can be considered one of a kind books were the inventory level will always be 1. Also, we do not use ISBN numbers as they only started being used after 1970 something. The layout, graphics etc of the new site looks good and have been mostly completed except for a few little format layout problems. Example: (product image is overlaid on top of text) So, what I need is for someone to PLEASE finish my site! TERMS, PLEASE READ THIS NOW. I have tried several times on this and other freelance sites to get someone build this site for me, every time the provider says they can do it no problem, they want me to escrow the money and send them a partial payment once the project starts but they never finish it. I am out money, time and I still don’t have my site done. I do not know what the heck it is with some people, they do about half the project then disappear, I am fed up with it. So, understand this before you bid, I will NOT escrow any money or make any mile stone payments. When you finish the project I will happily pay you the total amount agreed on in whatever form of payment you want. Also please do not tell me that it will take 20 days to complete and then drag it out for 6 months because you have other projects you are working on. I understand that sometimes a project will take longer than planed and that is fine, just don’t be ridiculous about it. Please keep me informed on how things are progressing with my site, I get very upset having weeks go by without any update, sending numerous emails and finally getting a response weeks later.
