Hello Chris, For your requirement to send JSON data every 5 minutes, I would suggest to handle this process using a cron job. A cron job could be setup to run every 5 minutes, where the data from the said 10 tables would be sent to the remote data service. As you said, keeping track of new data or update data can be achieved with the date/time info for the rows. When extracting data to send JSON, only those rows updated/added in the last 5 minutes will be fetched. Regarding the remote data-service, a RESTFUL service will have to be created, that will accept JSON data to update its database. I am also assuming that web hosting has been configured to setup the remote data service. Regards, Yogendra

I've read your requirements of reducing time required to send json data to a remote service, please find my observations below: - I believe you must be using something like REST API to ensure easy and fast transfer of data, if not we can modify the current app and create a REST form to send data to any remote service - I need to modify the database queries also so as to reduce any extra time which the unoptimized queries must be taking - For keeping track of the data being added / uploaded I can add the timestamps and also some other parameters like IP etc. so we can also get analytics from it in future - Remote service - As I understand will make calls to this codeigniter app and get json data in return, and then store in a database. This should be simple. I've worked with various such platforms using many third party APIs as well, I can handle this quite well and we can make the entire application better in performance.
