Write some Software

First, note that "Write some software does NOT properly describe my project. Freelancer has a limited choice of project descriptions and I had to pick one to post this project: I have a website with several cron jobs that run weekly. They were written by coders familiar with cron jobs. I am looking for someone who can: (1) look at the cron job coding and MAKE NOTES on it to explain to me what it does (such as the most common task, moving files from one folder on the site to another). The files have the exact same name , so it is a fast and easy way to update files every week. (2) be a sort of "teacher" to me so that I can write cron jobs myself, which basically will be the same as the ones currently running, but will use different files to be moved into different folders. Let me elaborate on this. I am not a coder as such. But in the last year, I simply looked at some visual basic files generated in the FTP program I use, and was able to modify them fairly easily to expand them to do a larger quantity of deletes and uploads which I needed. In the same way, I want to learn how to "tweak" the existing cron jobs (which are hosted and run on the HostMonster server) and make new ones from copying, cutting, editing, and pasting when I need to make changes. As you can see, this is a very simple project that I expect should not take very long at all to complete for someone who is familiar with cron jobs. We would probably do several exchanges of information by email, and that would be it! I am looking for someone with experience in this area who understands how easy this project will likely be. I do insist on a very good command of English as I have had several bad experiences with communication on other projects. That's it!
