Add functionality to WordPress on custom form

Objective: Allow an instructor to "publish" a course product from BuddyForm Form. The form is already created and the instructor can already save the course product. The course product is drafted first, this is mandatory and already implemented. The instructor should be able to publish the course when he is ready to sell it. At the moment, the instructor can create courses but it will always go as Draft by default. After the course is Drafted, and the instructor is ready to publish, he should be able to update the status of the course through a button or somehow and publish it. Few notes to understand this project: We are using BuddyForms and UltimateMember integration. LearnPress has the course products. A custom form is already implemented for the instructor to create the course products. The course products can be already created and their status is draft by default. Instructors don't have access to Wordpress back-end, only to a front-end to create the course products. This is already implemented.
