BACKGROUND: Last year, I had a developer build me a PHP/MySQL Content Management System (CMS) using CodeIgniter with a Bootstrap Admin front end (Metronic Theme). At the time, we created a basic skeleton and I knew I would eventually want to migrate the site and upgrade it. I have been unable to locate that developer, so I need a fluent, ENGLISH speaking full-stack development expert who can: 1. Look at the codebase, database, and theme, and REVERSE-ENGINEER it to understand what was built. 2. Help me create and install a development environment on my computer (Mac) so that I can make small updates in the future. I am familiar with programming, but I am not an expert. I would like to use MAMP, with Beanstalk for SVN, Coda 2 for programming, and Transmit for FTP. 3. Create a few new codebase and database OBJECTS to extend some of the existing functionality 4. Teach me how to extend and upgrade to the latest CodeIgniter and Bootstrap theme (this is not a critical step, but will be reached if all goes well with the first 3 steps above). SKILLS NEEDED: CodeIgniter Object-Oriented PHP MYSQL Metronic (Bootstrap theme) HTML, CSS, and Javascript SELECTION CRITERIA: In order to be selected for this job, I will need to meet you in person over a video conference: 1. To show you the list of requirements I have. You will need to agree you can do it, and explain how. 2. To walk-through codebase, database, and the site demo so that you can see how it looks now and what needs to change. 3. I will learn whether you are a good ENGLISH-SPEAKING communicator and teacher, because that's what I need. At the end of this project, I need to know how to manage the environment I currently have. If after seeing the demo of my application and discussing possibilities with me, you think you can handle this job, we can move forward. This job is intended to lead to a long term relationship because I will need help in the future for complex tasks I can't do. Thank you.
