Create a WordPress Template

1. Deploy new Ubuntu Desktop running Wordpress 1.1 Deploy and new Ubuntu Desktop instance in Virtualbox and run all available OS updates. Here are some tutorials available online for running OS updates: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] 1. 2 On this new Ubuntu Desktop, installing the Wordpress web-application along with all required perquisite software. (i.e. Apache, PHP, mySQL, etc.) Here are some relevant links: one for downloading Wordpress and one example of many links on the Internet for installing Wordpress on Ubuntu. [login to view URL] [login to view URL] 1.3 Use the default configurations so that Apache and Wordpress web-application is associated with Port 80. 2. Deploy second Ubuntu Desktop instance 2.1 Deploy a second version of Ubuntu Desktop and run all available OS updates. At the end of this milestone you will be using a web-browser on this Ubuntu desktop instance to access over your internal Virtual box network to the Wordpress application running on the Ubuntu instance you created in step #1 via a web-browser. 3. Firewall 3.1 If the UFW (Ubuntu Firewall Service) service is not installed on your Ubuntu Desktop instances already, you will need to do so now. Below is a link for installing ufw on your Ubuntu Desktop: [login to view URL] 3.2 On the Ubuntu Desktop running your Wordpress application (Step #1), you will need to ensure Port 80 is open on the Firewall to allow HTTP traffic to access Port 80 (the is will allow your second Ubuntu Desktop (Step #2) to access the Wordpress application listening on Port 80). 4. Internal networking in Virtualbox 4.1 You will need to configure each of these two Ubuntu instances you created in steps #1 and #2 to be on the same internal network within Virtualbox so that each of these two virtual machines can communicate with one another within the internal Virtualbox network. However, the steps for configuring the private network settings on your Ubuntu Desktop OS will different. 4.2 Configure each of the two Ubuntu instances you created in Steps #1 and #2 so that they are on the same private network. Accessing the Wordpress app over the Internal Private Network within Virtualbox 5.1 Once you have each of the two Ubuntu instances you created in Steps #1 and #2 connected together on the internal network within Virtualbox, login to your Ubuntu Desktop instance you created in Step #2 and access Wordpress running on your Ubuntu Desktop you created in Step #1 via a Web-browser.
