Fix 2 issues on Magento 2 website

Issue #1 I have discovered an issue in Magento 2.2.5 that I cannot figure out how to resolve. When I change the product category custom design to be only 1 column then the products cover up the sort menu and the List/Grid selection menu. I can tell that they are just being covered up because half of the arrow for the sort ascending vs descending is visible (see screenshot below). Issue #1 Deliverable - Please provide the code to fix this issue of hiding the sort options in 1 column layouts. Issue #2 I am upgrading my site to be upgraded from Magento 1.9.0.1 to Magento 2.2.5 and I have several storeviews that I use for assigning orders from ebay and Amazon. In my previous Magento 1.9.0.1 install I have these stores disabled so the store view selector does not appear on the frontend. In Magento 2.2.5 when I edit the store view the option to disable the store view is greyed out. I cannot figure out what is stopping me from disabling this store view. Is this a bug in Magento 2.2.5? Maybe there is a better way to accomplish removing the store selector from the frontend. Issue # 2 DELIVERABLE Please help me figure out why I cannot disable these store veiws and how to remove the store selector from the frontend.
