I am working on a project that's a chat system and has a login and signup etc. and once the user is logged in it goes to the buddy list so my goal is to get it to detect the logged in username for this account. I know this may be simple but I am stuck how to do it. there is more but this is the main thing right now Any help would be great

Hi, You should add the username or e-mail to the session while login. Then you can call it where ever you want. You don't need to give the job to me but this is the easiest way. I just wanted to say :)
