Modification to a jquery calendar plugin + ajax + php + css + event coloring/deletion

I have used the full calendar plugin for many years but the complexity I need means that loading times are far too long and have identified a suitable replacement [login to view URL] which I would like to have the same functionality (more or less) with some of the internal functions trimmed back to make the calendar rendering improved and quicker. The project: We need to allow people to book in their team members onto a day at a time however days will change in terms of what needs to be charged For example we will need to have two entries with checkboxes to allow James and Jane to be added to a certain day. When the day is clicked the script will add two entries for that day, one pink the other blue (for gender). However if James can't attend then his event must be able to be cancelled, indepedent of Jane's event (hopefully with an X or trashcan icon floated to the rigtht of the event) Secondly, if weeks 1,2 and 4 were "types" of event days then the cells in the background should be coloured pale yellow, if week 3 was a different type those cells should be pale yellow. Finally if a class is full, there should be a function to highlight the cell red and prevent bookings happening then at all. This is a sizable project and I will need a javascript/jquery expert to look into this carefully and be available to communicate throughout.
