I have a product advertizing website. It uses a MySQL db to store product information. I am participating in the Amazon Associates program and I want to make use of the Product Advertising API to pull products with my associate tracking information and advertize them on my site. I need the same for eBay. I think the relevant APIs there are Shopping and Merchandising, which can be used in conjunction with my affiliate account parameters. I need a simple interface where I can select to initiate download of products from Amazon or eBay and specify from which category I want them downloaded. The information that needs to be downloaded is: Main image, Title, Price and URL to the product with my affiliate tracking info in it. After the products are downloaded they need to be inserted into my existing database. There needs to be also some kind if mechanism to clean discontiued products. Not sure how this can be done programmatically. But the purpose is to not have product links that lead to non-existing or ended listings/products on eBay and Amazon. Hope it is clear enough. Hi, First I'll give my approach regarding amazon thing as this application is mostly done. I've done one application from where you get the best selling items from amazon. So once you select a particular category, the application gets top 100 best selling items under each sub category and then it will show all the listing on your screen. And once you select the items to be uploaded on your website, those item information will go into your database. For checking discontinuation of items, another application will check all the items on your website with the amazon thing and if some item on amazon is out of stock, that item on your site will be out of stock. P.S. Everything needs to be discussed and negotiated at first. The below mentioned default terms are placed to ensure such discussion takes place before the project is awarded by you. In pursuance to "Milestone Payments" as in Freelancer.com terms and conditions, the first milestone payment needs to be deposited on Freelancer.com within a day, ibapi is awarded the project, failing which the awarding of such project by you, the buyer, will be considered void and the bid offer by ibapi will be deemed to have been retracted. The first milestone becomes payable after requirement analysis is done. Requirement analysis is 'Contract-style requirement lists' as defined under the article 'Requirements_analysis' in English Wikipedia. Simplified: This is essentially an upfront payment. The first milestone is deposited before the project is accepted by the service provider ibapi and paid after requirement analysis is illustrated by ibapi in the Freelancer.com message board. I would prefer to use Java - Spring application to handle web requests to track objects and to implement Would use Spring Data (Object Relational Mapper) to talk to MySQL Would use AWS SDK library for amazon integration Would use Ebays javasdk for ebay integration Would use build an internal REST Service to control tracking and creation of objects from PHP website Would use Spring Scheduler to talk to each webservice and schedule removal of expired objects, would investigate callbacks from ebay and amazon to reduce need for scheduled updates Your existing web site would talk to webservice via simple html (get post delete) calls
