Project: Art Awareness Project : Make 100 T-shirts and film homeless wearing them #7

This is an art project to raise awareness of Homeless people around the world. BUT YOU WILL BE COMPENSATED FINANCIALLY (ON COMPLETION) THIS IS GREAT FOR YOUR COMMERCIAL PORTFOLIO, SHOWING YOUR INCREDIBLE CREATIVITY!!!! THIS PROJECT WILL BE REPEATED FOR DIFFERENT COUNTRIES SO IF YOU DO NOT WIN WATCH OUT FOR ANOTHER POSTING PAYMENT IS MADE BY ESCROW ON COMPLETION ONLY! i.e. NO UPFRONT PAYMENT. However, if you are absolutely stuck and really want to participate and do not have a dime, then I will accept a partially complete (30% complete) project as a basis for application of funds to complete, But this amount may never be more than 30% of the project amount and you must have fully completed 30% of the project by submitting your media materials. DETAILS Create 100 T-shirts (of any condition) with the words 'Hungry' either painted with red paint or printed on them in big red clear letters. The preference for the shirts is white, in fact ordinary dress shirts can be used but the preference is for white. Then I want the following: 1. 2-300 Digital Photographs of Homeless people wearing these, of you preparing the process (15%) and interacting with the people (20%) 2. 30-60 Minutes of Video showing these people going about their life of you preparing the process (15%) and interacting with the people (20%). 3. Each homeless person must be compensated in some way. E.g. They are given the T-Shirt. The photographs & Video should be a variety of 'news' style photos. i.e. mostly capturing these people in their every day. Some poses, but mostly as if the person did not know they were being captured. A third of these photographs/ Video must show more than one person wearing the t-shirt. These shots must indicate that each person does not know each other. e.g .two people going in opposite directions down a street. I will award this project to people in different countries. I will be creating a separate project to make a website for this. If you do not win this project, do not despair, I will re-invite you if you are serious about completing the project. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now, let's be clear, this may not be a big moneymaker for you! It's a group art project to raise awareness of Homeless people around the world. The art is a shared experience by different artists around the world. Plus, it will get you out of the office and will be one of the more fun projects on your portfolio that will demonstrate the kind of creativity that companies strive for in order to get noticed in the deluge of copy-cat businesses out there. Get noticed! We will be publishing your stories on the project website as well as tips from other volunteers as how to effectively manage the process, but until that site is up follow some of the tips below. But there is some work involved! In reality what you will need to do is get the assistance of friends and relatives to complete this and even scout for volunteers for example on Craigs list or your local watering hole. That said, the costs for doing this project can be very low. In the USA, the standard price for bulk white t-shirts is less than $100 (or thereabouts). For example, see this item # on ebay 8316134477. And that's NEW! In countries of origin such as Asia, the cost should be considerably less. A second hand store can provide you with t-shirts for pennies. Video tape (or whatever film format you choose to use) and photograph (again, up to you) costs will be low. If you are in a bind, just send us what you have and we'll take care of the rest. However, it would be best if you digitize your media and upload it the [login to view URL] website. Next: Graphics. We're talking about getting a bucket of cheap red paint for $5 and painting the words on the shirts. If you have access to screen printing equipment then the cost is a bit more - maybe $40 max.(I've done it here in the USA). Video & Filming: We would like you to video your own preparation and discussions in doing this project as you play a big part in the project and are integrated with the process. You will also video or film your interactions with the people you are giving the shirts too and the aftereffects of that. The more you can do here the better and let your creativity flow. if you have an external microphone, great, if not, just try and capture good sound. You have 35 Days to complete your project (you can continue sending media after that time though) You will retain ownership of your media, however you will be giving us full rights to use the media.
