We have a website with some areas for registered users only, e.g. listings. Currently Google and other search engines can't access and therefore index them. We would like to allow users coming through organic search results to still see these pages even if they are not registered yet.
Users on the website itself using the internal links, will not be able to see them without registering.
Currently we use a before_filter to force the authentication:
before_filter :authenticate_user!, only: [:show]
We need you to implement a solution that allows search engines to crawl these private pages and users coming through organic search results of Google to access them (at least the first one).
HI I am experienced in SEO Ruby on Rails HTML etc I can start right now but i have few doubts and questions lets have a quick chat and get it started waiting for your reply
Hi,
I am Bilal Abbas as senior RoR Developer.
I have read your description carefully and suppose that you are asking for permissions for particular users to the method of your controller.
I can help you out in your project as you might have been using devise gem for user registering.
Authenticating a user by a before_filter callback might be filtering out some of the users and rest aren't.
We can have a talk on your project.
Feel free to contact me at any time.
