I don't want the program coded - just someone to point me in the right direction and help me through the coding process when I have some questions. I am trying to create a slack APP that has a right click action menu on messages - I just need help understanding the response codes and how to send the data to and from slack to my python script.

I have more than a year experience in Python scripting and coding especially within the scope of AWS Lambda. Working as a Systems Engineer I have a good understanding of such kind of integration needed (integration with Jira, Slack, Jenkins, and AWS services). I will be able to assist you in the development process and search for solutions, even provide some skeleton templates, but that would take more time and I suppose that's not the goal.
