I imagine this device to be techy but it should be subtle , so i think a matte , steel , carpaint material would do well .. we could have a stylish easter egg shape ..with a flat circular screen as you said. the buttons would have a neon led glow and the background for the buttons could be a radar like screen or like google maps or simple and plain if that is what you prefer. it could have a sort of a silicon elastic grip fixer or holder imagine it like an inverted U behind the screen ..that could plug straight to the handle bar. then for a finished render .. we could have a studio render or have a camera shot of the gadget with from a viewer angle sitting on a bike and with some nice realistic looking background !
