The Generic V twin engine that you are to model up in CATIA is a typical motor-cycle engine layout that is extensively used today in modern motor cycles. Examples include the KTM water- cooled unit (Figure 1) and the classic Indian V twin air cooled engine unit (Figure 2). It should be realised that the generic engine as initially modelled up is neither a 4, nor 2 stroke engine. This is because the inlet and exit ports, and other details, have been intentionally left out for this assignment.
