I am in need of help planning to detail the backyard design of my yard. I have a 1/4 acre in the suburbs (layout attached) and right now it is just dirt (the trees in the layout have been taken out). I will be having it professionally graded in the next month, and hope to make improvements on it. I have already purchased the play set (Assembled Dimensions (total footprint): 27’W x 19’6”D x 13’H) and drawn out an estimate of what I want. I need 6' clearance on each side of the playset. I want the play set in the back, a bit of a walk way that takes you out to the deck/concrete patio with a gazebo in the back yard. I need a little bit of help in the landscaping design of it. I want a few trees along the fence on the right. Two poles with lights will be holding triangle tarps that are 10' over the concrete patio attached to the house (the length of the house and out 20') . It would also be nice to have an L shaped BBQ area with chairs out there somewhere too. I am looking for some creative insight on what options I have back there to incorporate all the things I want. I want it to be somewhere for the kids, yet somewhere I want to escape to. The PDF titled Backyard Adventures was one idea I had but scrapped. The firepit shown in there and the possible gazebo with the L shapped BBQ I do like though. I uploaded a picture of the backyard currently as well.
