Hi Jack, I think its great that you want your fathers remains to be surrounded by what he loved. I believe I can help you with your wish. I am an expert in customized 3D printing. For the last 4 years I have intensely worked on 3D printing all kinds of products. Ranging from simple vases to fully functional headphones. My proposal: I can print you a stormtrooper urn to your requirements. I own a Ultimaker 2+, which is a top range consumer printer. I can offer you a wide range of materials: PLA (all color plastic) Carbonfiber fill (very strong material) Steelfill (looks and feels like steel) Bronzefill (looks and feels like bronze) Laybrick (feels like sandstone) and a few more. Really comes down to your preferences. All of these materials I can surface finish. This means you will not see any traces that it was 3D printed. It will look very smooth, either glossy or matte. Your choice. Apart from the 3D printing, I can also offer you to integrate LED lighting. Either a lit up base, where it would stand on. Or maybe have light traces inbetween the seams of the helmet. Could be anything :) If you are interested, I would also be happy to have a skype call before and talk over everything in more detail.
