I have been designing and developing for clients in the restaurant and retail business for the past two years. In my experience, it seems that the simpler the website's design is for the user to navigate, the easier it is to draw return customers. The current design for the website linked is cluttered with too many moving objects to distract a user looking for information about events going on in the regions that were supposed to be highlighted. If my bid is accepted, I will design a site where a user will see all the highlighted events in a RSS feed, rather than in all the separate moving slides that are currently on the site. That will simplify what the user is seeing on the screen at any given time. Another idea that I would possibly implement on the site would be a vertical navigation bar on the left side of the screen (to facilitate the RSS feed's appearance on the site). This could be done in an accordion-style, or in a similar style as the current page, but with the sub-menus appearing to the side rather than below the menu item.

I will use HTML5 and make it work on any browser including old browsers. I will use CSS3 too (The last version of CSS).
