I'm confused why the budget is so high. Does the converter have to get its data from the internet? Also why if it is a python script does it have to be in C? Please clarify but I am sure that I can complete this. I have made several programs that manipulate data. I can do this for 150 pounds. The computer wouldn't let me bid lower than 750 pounds. 150 pounds is my bid. Hello. Python is my favourite programming language and I know it quite well. I am currently working in the company for which I have just done the exchange module in Ruby on Rails application and it works very well. It connects to the European Central Bank and retrieves the current exchange rates. I can easily write a similar script in Python (it could connect to another bank as well). To be sure: are we talking about command line script or you need a graphical user interface? GUI could take me more than 3 days to do. Regarads, Piotr

If the exchange rate needs not to be updated automatically (perhaps using some existing API for reading a current database), I can definitely do this within a day. If up-to-date exchange rate is required, I can likely complete it within a day or two since I need to implement the API.
