Creating inventory database with basic calculations/reports

Here is the basic setup and purpose of the database: I currently have about 150 different inventory items that I want to keep track of in a database. 1) These items will need the following fields: name, weight, price (this field will be derived from a formula), diamonds, labor, profit, and product description, also a place where i can import images of these items. (I have included an spreadsheet with all these fields already filled out) 2) I want the database to let me search for an item code and be able to pull up all the specs of the item i listed above (weight, labor, etc), and in addition, be able to view a picture of the item 3) I want the database to be able to calculate and fill in the PRICE field for me of individual items, based on the numerical fields I've listed above (i will give you the formula for calculating prices once the project has started), and give the prices to me in a report when i try and generate one. 4) I want the interface of the database to be simple, so I can easily add new items to the inventory database when I need to. So please add a form to input new items. I am looking to do all this in Open Office base (preferably), or possibly Microsoft access.
