Hi, I have worked before on situations like yours, where quotes or invoices are auto generated from some custom plugin or workflow activity. I understand that you want something similar that when you perform an action, an invoice should be created as a result of that action. And for that case a custom workflow activity or plugin, is surely the right way to go. The other option you described, a script (or java script) can also be used. So, I am comfortable with both of these approaches. I am confident that I can achieve this for you. Please have a look at my experience and some of my earlier CRM implementations in my portfolio.
