I would like to have a chip reader/writer put together that would allow me to read/write the contents from a Maxim DS2433 one-wire EEPROM. I don't have any of the electronic components for the chip reader, so I would ask that you source out the necessary components and software so that you would provide me with the finished product that I would plug right into my PC. I'm not concerned about the cosmetic look of the chip reader/writer since I only need one of them for my own use, so in other words It doesn't have to be pretty as long as it works.. :-) I do have a PC running linux Ubuntu along with standard windows machine so I am flexible on what type of software used for running the chip reader just as long as it is fairly user friendly. I do have software available that I will be able to use to properly format the eeprom dump for re-writing back to the chip, but I just need a means of getting the info off and back onto the chip. So in other words I would like to be able to Read the data on the chip, Copy and Paste it into my software that will put it in the correct format with some changes, and then write it back to the eeprom chip. I would be able to provide some test chips that have the data on them for you to use for testing on your end. Let me know if you would be interested in looking at this project for me. I was not sure how many hours this project would take, so we can discuss this afterwards if you are interested in this project. I am fairly flexible on time frame, but would like to try and have the project completed in 3 to 4 weeks if possible. We are located in the United States.

Hello. I can do for you this job, but I do not have in stock now such EEPROM for debugging. I recently did a job similar to yours, just for FRAM, used ATMEL AVR (as in arduino) and I'm writing service program for the PC(tools programmed eeprom). Hello. Im designing different electronics devices, mostly based on avr, arm MCUs and boards with them like arduino, stm-discovery etc. I can help you with your deal and since im new one here I can do it cheaper then anybody. (autopromotion^)) There are 2 ways here: 1 - develop a custom pcb, that contains mcu, some part for it like voltage regulator, output port and socket for your eeprom. 2 - to use some arduino board. It has everything already. SO you just plug your chip. PC part - some simple app( I can only windows) that can read and write eeprom. Connection - usb. Lets talk.

hello i have read the information complement you send. before reading an eeprom, we have to check if this eeprom is not write protected, and then we have to know the kind of information is saved in this eeprom ( adresses, data signification etc) thus depending on the type of machine this eeprom is pluged on. thanks

Hello I am using DS2433 for other projects. Now for multi copying only, very fast , you need a PC/mac independent solution, in this you can copy from 1 to many. it uses a microcontroller //maybe an Arduino, another board for multi chip copying.. Now to read- modify-write I can give you a serial to USB interface, you need an Application which can copy to a hex file, either you use a standard HEX editor or I have to create one. If you want to read -modify and burn back to many chip you need both the solution but the hardware can still remain an Arduino. You need the separate board for multi-chip programming as mentioned before. Thanks Adi

Hello Sir, i have one experience dealing with DS24xx, which is DS2430. i don't think there are many different but size of memory to DS2433. i used an arduino to read the content. i never tried to write, because i don't need to. i can guide you to make the code for arduino. Regards
