Compass Algorithm

Hello I need someone to help me with a algorithm (must be simple): - I have a compass that moves from 0 - 360 (0 and 360 is the same place); - I have a target position; - I need to calculate the lower distance in degrees to go from the compass position to reach the target position AND if the movement is CW (+) or CCW (-). - Extra attention to the zero cross.
