I have thorough experience on various cloud and big data technology like Oracle Public Cloud, AWS, Google App Engine, OpenNebula, Openstack, Hadoop, Map-Reduce etc. I have also developed hybrid cloud project for plagiarism detection using google apps, Rackspace and EC2. I have used and customized these toolkits, for my research and development.

I am having more than 3.2+yr experience with in IT industry with machine learning in big data mahout , HBase, Impala , naive map reduce with analysis different data set and different file formats. I have gone through the requirement and I had similar experience in past. Also have hands on developed several recommendation system using big data using different frameworks mahout(big data) and crab with python. Here this project has multiple things UI and backend(big data store) and there has to be a seamless integration between these two also I have few question in mind if you have time we can discuss on those. I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a master degree. I have lots of industry experience in big data area. I worked at IBM, Twitter before. I know how to use hadoop 1.0 or 2.0 to process data. And I also use pig to analyze data. I use oozie to manage data pipeline. I have hands-on experience to use Amazon EMR. I also have lot of experience to use avro both on hadoop and pig. I used cascading and scalding before in case that you don’t use oozie. I think I will be a good fit for this role :)

I am Big Data Architect/Consultant with around 10 years for experience with all the required credentials for this project. Following is my Linked for your reference. To give a brief, on solution to the project. The project can be solved using Pig as a processing tech and for front needs to decide, if you have any specific choices else d3js and similar kind of tech can be used. I would multiple set of questions before starting on the project: 1) How the data will be ingested into Hadoop 2) What is the size of data 3) You spoke about data being accessed by system in reports format, were will data get stored and what format. I have many other questions before we can start the project, but believe me there are very few professionals who have got real experience in Hadoop and I can guarantee you that you would not be disappointed with me.
