Hello All, I need to develop a BIB number recognition software, a bib number is a number assigned to a participant of any sports event like marathon, horse race, cycling, etc... You can find more info on bib numbers on the Internet. I am professional sports photographer and I take 1000 plus photos of each event, I need the bib recognition software to speed up my work to tag the photos as per the bib number, In a single photo there may be multiple bib numbers, each bib should be recognised and saved with the bib number example, [login to view URL] Developers who have worked on similar projects will be preferred and any demo would be highly appreciated. Hi there, I worked on a BIB recognition project a couple of years ago, and you should be aware there are several problems that make it just about impossible to achieve 100% accuracy. What can be done is to have a review process that allows you to manually review images and edit them where necessary. This can make the whole process pretty fast. Varying BIB design is one issue, if they are all identical it is much simpler, but as we know, if you are covering multiple events the BIB design varies considerably. The best results are achieved by tuning the recognition software for each BIB design/event. If timing is an issue, or your project is price sensitive, then I can't help you as I am pretty busy at the moment. This is also the reason that I have not provided any demos. I do have one somewhere from the previous project, and can dig that out if you are interested. Otherwise, please take a look at my profile here on Freelancer. Questions: You want to develop an windows application? Which OCRing engine you want to use in application? Or shall we suggest which is best... Or we have to use the free one... While OCRing photos shall we have to repeat bib number jpg with (1), (2) or not? Our understanding: You will provides us clicked photos in a folder. Our application will monitor and read each photo for bib numbers, if bib number found, jpg image will be created with the bib number. There is an possibility to have more than one photos for one bib number.
