Platform: Android 5.1. One client app send a message on a server app. Both apps are on different tablets running android but they are on the same local network. The app you have to work on is the Server Display.
Two existing test apps:
Server Display: [login to view URL]
Client Display: [login to view URL]
The "client display" app is installed on one Tablet running Android 5.1, with an IP like 192.168.0.10.
The "server display" app is installed on another Tablet running Android 4.4 with an IP like 192.168.0.15.
The "client display" app is done, it sends an HTTP POST request on the IP Address / Port of the "server display" tablet, it is set in controller.js. It sends an object with HTML inside (in JSON format).
The "server display" is the part you have to work on. For now there is all the skeleton but you have to build a function that:
- listen on its local IP and port (ex: port 1986)
- handle HTTP POST request to get the object sent in JSON by "client display" app
- send back a message in JSON like: {"result":"ok", "body": "html integrated"}
You can use whatever solution you want (express, node.js, socket.io...) I just want it to work and to be really reliable. It must work on real devices so please test with real devices and not only emulator.
I'm a developer myself but I need to focus on other points, I make this project to win time.
