Display events/locations from mysql database on a map.

What we need is to show on a map different locations from a city, related to events during a specific day. The map will be full window size, on the map we will have a select where the user can choose the type of activity (concerts, partys, etc) and a calendar to choose a specific date. After selecting everything, on the map will appear the markers for the locations. On mouse hover on the marker, a bubble will show up with some details and a link. Additionally the user can search for an address using a searchbox and display all the events on a 2km radius.
