Create python script to process raster and vector data in ArcGIS

Hello, I am studying the difference in the amount of built-up area between the official city boundaries and a set of automatically generated city boundaries in a group of cities, and I need to automate the geoprocesses in ArcGIS. I have a group of ~115 cities and a master file that contains boundaries for each of the cities, and each city has seven files. Each city needs to be processed, and the results need to be exported to a spreadsheet. The processing needs to be totally automated for all of the cities. I will use the example of Bogota to explain the files: [login to view URL] : shapefile containing official and legal city boundaries for all of the cities that we are studying. [login to view URL] : raster file containing one class of data that is the built-up area in Bogota circa 1990. [login to view URL] : raster file containing one class of data that is the built-up area in Bogota circa 2000. [login to view URL] : raster file containing one class of data that is the built-up area in Bogota circa 2000. [login to view URL] : shapefile containing estimated actual city extent in 1990. [login to view URL] : shapefile containing estimated actual city extent in 1990. [login to view URL] : shapefile containing estimated actual city extent in 1990. Folder organization: Raster files are in one big folder (see attached sample dataset) and will need to be grabbed for each iterative geoprocess. Vector files are in subfolders that are titled by city name (see attached sample dataset) and contain other shapefiles as well. In some cases, there will be cities that have raster data, but no corresponding vector folder. In other cases there will be vector folders that do not have corresponding raster data. In this case, the table should state “No folder,” or “No image,” depending on the case, and the script should continue processing. Procedure: 1. Clip [login to view URL] with [login to view URL] and calculate built-up area for t1. This output is called Total BU in CBCR. 2. Clip [login to view URL] file with [login to view URL] boundary, then clip [login to view URL] with the output of first process and calculate built-up area for t1. This output is called Total in UE in CBCR. 3. Clip [login to view URL] with [login to view URL] and calculate built-up area for t1. This output is called Total BU in UE. 4. Calculate total built-up area in Bogota_t1_noRoads.img. This output is called Total BU in MPIO. Repeat procedure for T2 and T3. The final output will be a table in the format of the attached table (see sample data), with city names in the first column, data for T1 in the next four columns, data for T2 in the four columns after that, data for T3 in the final four columns.
