The purpose of the project is to import data from external data source (txt file) to Redmine application.
Business Requirements
- Daily importing data from txt file to the indicated task in Redmine project.
- Importing data to custom field that can be tracked/analyzed in Redmine reports.
The structure of the data in the source file
Source file is always available at the same address [login to view URL]
The data file contains 3 information for four days:
today: [recording satus], [date ], [ amount ]
today -1d: [recording satus], [date ], [ amount ]
today -2d: [recording satus], [date ], [ amount ]
today -3d: [recording satus], [date ], [ amount ]
Example:
0.20140408 , dad
1,20140407,2815
1,20140406,1
1.20140405 , cc5
Recording status in the field of [0,1] means that the counter for the day is closed. If 1 then we know that amount will not change and can be downloaded . If 0 then we know that amount will change.
The date in the format YYYYMMDD
Amount is an integer indicator of daily production in encrypted form. The cryptogram is a ( daily production * 8) + 3 In addition, the number is written in hexadecimal . Example: for daily production 1340 it will be (1340 * 8) +3 = 10723 and hex 29E3.
I have +10 years of experience in programming.
I am expert in making such bots.
Is redmine online service?
Can you show me your redmine account please?
Hey,
I’m a Ruby on Rails developer with 3 years of experience and I’m able to develop it for you. I’ve already worked with Redmind and parsing TXT files. I also have experience deploying big apps and managing linux servers. Please let’s talk about your project.
Thanks,
I use redMine internally and have completed exporting and importing on my own system.
I assume that you need an application which can do this. I use .NET to do my importing into the DB.
If this is ok, I am sure I can turn your application around very quickly.
One clarification, the field will be replaced on a daily basis? How do we match projects with the information detailed from the text file. Is it possible to get a copy of the text file?
I have not been overly active on Freelancer hence I do not have a large number of project reviews but every project I have worked on I have received additional work from the employer.
I hope to work on your project.
Cheers,
