xx33xx Hi, I have a lot of questions for you. This project seems extremely hard for a large number of reasons. However the biggest three are these ones : 1- Writing a Virtual Machine "from the ground up" is most difficult. Should it be on another architecture (running ARM on x86), the level of difficulty increases even more. 2- A standard Virtual Machine environment will provide very "long to get right" utilities, such as a fake hard drive, a fake mouse and a fake keyboard. This allows Windows or Linux to probe for connected devices and actually finding something. 3- I assume you are talking about apks from the Play Store. Those are much more difficult to run because they rely on proprietary binariesfrom Google. There are some .... not sure how they got "published", but there are some of those binaries available "on the internet" in order to provide Play Store functionality to some emulators. This could work but there is a limitation where those binaries are tied to a certain Android version, constraining the distribution. Questions : 1- Is this for resale? (licenses and such) 2- Why not start with an existing emulator running android and add features to that? 3- What kind of "extra features" are you thinking about? Things like drag and drop files into the device can be achieved with a special device in /dev for passing arbitrary commands (In other words a backdoor). I'm not 100% sure how Bluestack does it but they start like 5 services... Out of chars, let's chat
