Hi,
I have PLENTY of C programming experience under Linux
(starting in 1996 when I was a student), so I am pretty comfortable
about writing C code under Linux (I use mainly Debian myself,
but I can't see why code that I compile under Debian won't work under
CentOS).
I am also familiar with DOS from the late 1980s and early 1990s;
I wrote quite a bit of software back then under Turbo Pascal for an
old Mitac Paragon XT with 640k of memory, including a wordprocessing
program which was 5000 lines of Turbo Pascal code. Hence, I am familiar
with the functionality of the old DOS systems.
I don't have a working Windows system at home, but I have some old
computers at home on which I could install DOS (probably freedos) and
install your BBS system to see it working. However, this would take me some time,
so I don't really want to have to do it unless you agree to pay me some token
amount (maybe $10 or $20) for the amount of time that it would take me to
do this. Do you have any screenshots (or even cellphone camera photographs
of the screen) of the BBS program running under DOS?
However, in general, I would be keen to work on your project.
Regards,
Sunny
