Hello. I need a CSS/XHTML coder who has experience with the [login to view URL] grid system (<[login to view URL]>).
You'll convert an existing 4 page website (built with a "web site builder" program) to clean, elegant, best practices HTML/CSS code.
The current site:
* <[login to view URL]>
* four pages (home, about, FA, contact)
* messy convoluted HTML
* unnecessary tables and unused tags
* unreadable "mystery characters" left over from a MS Word document
* headlines created with bold text
* bullet list items created in text
The revised site (after you've completed your work):
* tableless layout
* using the [login to view URL] grid system ([login to view URL])
* no unnecessary divs or tags
* bullet list items styled with HTML UL and LI tags
* headlines and subheads styled with HTML H2, H3, etc tags
* finished code "beautified" with HTML Tidy
* HTML validated with [login to view URL]
* HTML must validate as "XHTML 1.0 Transitional."
* identical appearance on Safari, Firefox, IE6, IE7
* convert all characters to ASCII or HTML entities
* Single quotes must be replaced with the HTML entity ’
* Curly quotes must be replaced by the HTML entities “ and ”
* Ellipsis (three periods) characters must be replaced with the HTML entity …
* All tags must be removed.
* All bold text must be tagged <strong> (not <b>).
* All italic text must be tagged <em> (not <i>).
* All other special characters must be eliminated.
With your bid, include links to your previous CSS/XHTML work, showing that you've used the [login to view URL] grid system previously.
