Service Learning workshop : PowerPoint and handouts

Hello This task to prepare PowerPoint slides and hand-outs for a 2 days workshop ( 6 hours total) about Service Learning. Below is a summary of this subject: "Service learning is a pedagogy that combines learning goals and community service in ways that can enhance both student development and the common good. For students, service learning can develop their critical thinking and problem solving, skills of public leadership, a sense of personal efficacy, and even satisfaction with their college or university. Instructors can find greater satisfaction with teaching, new avenues for research, and better relationships with their communities. Likewise, communities can receive much needed assistance in a wide array of areas and better relationships with institutions of higher education. However, service learning does pose significant challenges for all involved. This workshop will review the research on the promise and problems of service learning, discuss best practices that make service learning more efficient and effective, and provide opportunities for participants to develop service learning in their own teaching." reference :Center for Teaching · Vanderbilt University. I will provide some references especially for SL ideas/practices, it is expected that the PowerPoint and hand-outs be comprehensive for the subject, First an outline/ work agenda should be presented.
