Head Counter & Security System

This proposal will describe how we can check these entrances and exits. Firstly, photocell sensor will let us see if anyone enters the building. Photocell includes semiconductor having a very high resistance so this allows it to stop the flow of current completely when there is no light. By the use of two photocells we can understand who enters and exits. If the person is entering the outer cell will be trigger before inner and we will understand that a person is entering and vice versa for exit. When a person walks through the light line created by any of the photocell sensors, then it will stop the flow of current and our counter will be incremented or decremented. The photocell sensor will be connected to any one of the pins in the evaluation board Easy AVR v7 and the number will be displayed on 7- segment. The necessary code for all these will be written by using Atmel Studio software. Parts of the project can be separated in to 2 modes: counter and alarm. When in mode:1 (pin1) it will basically count the entrance and exit numbers to calculate the people going in and out. When we do the subtraction (number of entrances – number of exits) we will basically get the number of people inside. When the pin 2 and 3 are pressed we will display the number of the entrance and exits in 7-segment respectively. Mode 4 (pin4) will turn on the alarm mode, where a buzzer will turn on when the outer photocell is crossed.
