I'm a mechanical engineer - specialized in the industrial robotic field, 3D designer and modeler (from time to time and some projects I could make the functional prototype too). I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc. I have over 15 years experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch. 1 - as the design is needed for injection molding the output file will be step214 or iges, so it doesn't matter which cad program will be used (i'm working on inventor 2017) 2 - in order to be able to design the case/enclosure, i will need the drawing/dimensions of the pcb or even better the 3d model (it doesn't matter the file format) 3 - besides the drawing/dimensions/model of the pcb, i will need to know several more details: - which is your preferred design style; - does the enclosure require any protection?
