Entry Level Payroll Clerk

Position is responsible for processing payroll checks for all field and plant employees for three companies. In addition, this position is responsible for preparing union reports and producing accounts payable invoices to keep employee benefits current. This position is responsible for providing Certified Payroll Reports for the Company and all subcontractors. Handle all other miscellaneous jobs that pertain to payroll including managing all aspects of the payroll process including processing checks for all hourly employees. • Prepare payroll edit reports for review • Wage garnishments, union benefits, and other payroll deductions • Pay all payroll taxes and child support on respective websites • Maintain employee files and payroll records • Gather information for set up of employee profile in payroll database. • Maintain records of all payroll transactions. • Maintain employee files and information required by the Department of Labor. • Verify eligibility of employment through Social Security office for field employees. • Maintain log of weekly payroll statistics, including hours worked and total gross payroll dollars. • Reporting to unions and other agencies • Prepare various union reports • Maintain and update Certified Payroll Reports
